Surprise Second Chances and New Life by Amelin_Nisa_Tales

Attending Clave/Downworld meetings is hell for Alec and Magnus, especially since they haven't spoken to one another since Magnus walked away from him outside the Institute's infirmary. How will they fare with a surprise guest appears and turns both of their lives upside down?

I. Love. This. Story. It is filled to the brim with strong emotion and angst, but it isn't so heavy that you'll feel weighed down by sadness. You'll feel for Alec and Magnus as they try to keep up appearances, yet remain broken inside without one another. However, the arrival of unexpected guest forces them to confront their feelings and examine their future...together or apart.

I highly recommend this story! You won't be disappointed!

Blog Tour: Blind Passion by Penny Brandon

Length: 82,000 words approx.

Blurb
Attraction for Adam was not a handsome face, a striking smile, or beautiful eyes, but a scent that would drive him to distraction or a voice that could make his heart beat faster. When the combination of the two walked into his life in Luke, Adam couldn’t help but want him. But how was he supposed to know if Luke felt the same attraction? He had no prior experience, no past encounters, nothing to help him. Not even his sight.

One look at Adam and Luke wanted him. Sensual, gorgeous, kind, with a strength that Luke was drawn to, Adam was everything Luke desired. Being in Adam’s arms, showing him the pleasure of a man’s body, being touched, held, and desired in return, had Luke wanting more, had him wanting what he knew he couldn’t have.

It didn’t matter to him that Adam was blind, but Adam deserved more than someone like him. Luke was a man with a broken past and falling in love with Adam was a foolish thing to do, especially because Adam would never love him back if he found out what Luke was hiding.

About Penny

Penny is a complete romantic who believes everyone can fall in love if only they'll open their heart to the possibility, which is why she writes these hot erotic stories that will always have a happily every after. However, it doesn't mean that she'll make it easy for her men to get there. A lover of things that go bump in the night, Penny's imagination can sometimes run riot, so magic mirrors and evil dolls are only the beginning.

That's What Fathers Do by Fanatic_weirdo

That's What Fathers Do by Fanatic_weirdo

When Camille threatens Rafael's life, Magnus will stop at nothing to protect him.

This is such an emotional story that had me on the edge of my seat. Magnus' desperation and willingness to do anything to save the life of his child was beautiful and a little heartbreaking to watch. I don't want to give too much away, but I know you will thoroughly enjoy this one shot set in the incredible universe Fantatic_weirdo has created. Give it a try!

Sentinel (Theosophi Book #1) by T.A. Creech

A fireball burning up the sky leads farmer Jason Thomas to the strangest thing he's ever found in his pumpkin patch. A man with wings. And no, he doesn't think it's an angel, no matter what his brothers say.

Taking the stranger into his home is hard. Keeping his heart from the stranger's hands? Harder. But everything in him calls to this being and Jason is so damned tired of only having his brothers at his back.

Castiel has no idea what this angel thing is, but the evil that knocked him out of the sky did him a favor. He’d heard the tales of his kin and their missions on Earth with envy and now he has the chance to experience it himself. Better yet, his mate takes him home. One small problem. Castiel has a duty and needs to find a way back. Of course it isn’t going to be that easy.

This is a very pleasant, sweet and funny story about an angel who falls to earth and also falls in love with the man who takes him in. Even though I enjoyed Jason and Castiel's relationship, it seemed to progress pretty fast. Granted, there were time jumps, but I sometimes I felt like I was missing out on parts of their developing relationship. My absolute favorite part of the story occurred between Castiel and a group of trick or treaters. It was really endearing.

Sentinel is not a standalone book, so you will have to read the next two in the series to get the full story. All in all, this is a nice, quick read.

I ❤️ Yaoi: Pretty Boy by Omocat

Good morning, yaoi lovers! This week's recommendation is Pretty Boy by Omocat! It's more on the shounen ai end of the spectrum, but so beautiful!

When a jock encounters a quiet and beautiful guy at school, his life is forever changed.

This has to be one of the SWEETEST comics I've ever read! I don't want to give away too much of the story, but I know your heart will be warmed and you may even shed a tear or two! Perfect for Valentine's Day! Highly recommended!!!

Purchase Pretty Boy here or watch the dub here.

What's Past is Past by blushingalec

What's Past is Past by blushingalec

When Magnus notices an enchantingly handsome man sitting all alone on Valentine's Day in his friend's restaurant, he makes the unorthodox decision to join him. What does he have to lose? He's also by himself and would love the company. Never did he expect to his heart over a meal with a beautiful stranger.

This is a delightful one shot that truly warmed my heart. Don't let the summary fool you. It's not all fluff and cotton candy, but a balanced mix of romance, angst, longing and fluff. With Valentine's Day just around the corner, this is the perfect sweet story that all Malec fans can enjoy. Give it a try! ❤️❤️❤️

Book Review: Seth and Casey by R.J. Scott

Seth Wild lost everything. After a building collapsed on him while fighting a fire, his job is now in jeopardy. Not only does he have to deal with the physical ramifications of the accident, but also the mental. To top it all off, his anger and frustration caused him to push away the man he loves, Casey McGuire.

While on a field trip, an epic snowstorm blows into the area and traps Casey and his students on a bus. Even though they aren't on the best terms, Casey doesn't know who else to turn to but Seth.

I really enjoyed this short story. It was filled with plenty of angst, tension and excitement. Despite being separated, Seth and Casey were able to put their differences aside, most of the time, in order to deal with the deadly and very scary storm and try their best to keep the students safe. Communication, the lack thereof or the way it is delivered seems to be the running theme throughout the piece. So often I wished Seth and Casey could be more open to each other, but past hurts and the serious situation they were in made it difficult.

I don't want to give away too much of the story, but I definitely recommend this quick read.

I received a copy of this book from the author and voluntarily provided my honest review.

Traveler by bumblebeesknees

Traveler by bumblebeesknees

When Magnus and Alec receive an unexpected visitor, they are forced to confront their deepest fears and celebrate their greatest triumphs.

A friend recommended this story to me recently and I'm so glad that she did. It is AWESOME!!! I don't want to give too much away, but bumblebeesknees did an incredible job portraying the love, fear, grief and gratitude experienced by the Lightwood-Bane family. This is a story that will stay with you long after you've finished reading it. Give it a try! I highly recommend it!

p.s. This wonderful piece of fan art is exactly how I would envision an adult Max Lightwood-Bane in this story.
