Of a Different Feather by stormcin

Of a Different Feather by stormcin

While on his way to meet his boyfriend, Jacob notices the stark contrast between himself and Edward...beyond the fact that Edward is undead and he's a wolf shapeshifter.

Very short, but very sweet, stormcin manages to pack a lot of emotion into approximately 700 words. The doubt, uncertainty and self-consciousness Jacob experiences were described wonderfully and really made me feel for the guy.

Nothing Else Matters by Emmett's Submissive

Nothing Else Matters by Emmett's Submissive

Emmett has been unhappy for a long time. He's married to a self-absorbed, selfish and vapid vampire who couldn't care less about anyone (or anything) but herself. When he locks eyes with a small shifter named Brady during a training session between the Cullens and the Quileute pack, his entire existence, as he knows it, will never be the same.

Wow! This story is awesome! There are so many twists and turns that you will constantly be on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next! The pairing of Emmett and Brady is something readers don't see very often, but it's a welcome and refreshing change. Readers are also treated to seeing an Edward/Jacob pairing as well as a surprise relationship later on. Definitely give this story a try. It had me hooked from the first chapter!

Enemy Rebound by addicted-to-romione-bedward

Enemy Rebound by addicted-to-romione-bedward

After Bella runs to Volterra to save Edward from killing himself, she dies in a plane crash on the way home. Edward is beside himself with grief and happily welcomes the vitriol Jacob throws his way once back in Forks. However, something peculiar happens; something neither of them could have imagined. Jacob imprints on Edward and now the two men must find a way to not only co-exist, but deal with their growing feelings for one another.

I've read quite a few imprinting stories involved Edward and Jacob, but this one really stuck out to me because of the immense emotion addicted-to-romione-bedward poured into her words. Ever flicker of pain, confusion, frustration, anger and eventually love is felt so palpably from beginning to end. The reactions from the other members of the Cullen coven were also interesting and in some ways refreshing. Some didn't immediate accept Jacob's new position in the family, while others did. However, it's not the usual suspects who shun him.

Give this story a try. It's emotional, angsty, fluffy and suspenseful; everything you need in a good piece of fanfiction!

Click by Me and Mrs Jones

Click by Me and Mrs Jones

Edward Cullen is a successful photographer who is in high demand in the fashion world. He and his assistant, Seth, travel the world surrounded by beautiful models. When Seth's cousin and new model, Jacob Black, shows up for a shoot, Edward is immediately taken. He wants to pursue the young man, but Jake is straight and dealing with some serious demons. Will Edward be able to keep things professional or will Jake submit to his growing feelings for the famous photographer?

This story is awesome! All of the characters are so well developed and likable that I wished I could step into the story and hang out with them. Even though a good amount of the story's focus is placed on Jake and Edward, there is a sweet subplot involving Seth and his relationships with his boyfriend, Jasper, and Jake. There are plenty of twists and turns in this story that I know you'll enjoy and I can't wait for the next installment!

The Sun and the Moon by Ratts

The Sun and the Moon by Ratts

In a world where vampires rule and everyone else serves them, Edward Masen lives a privileged life. He runs a successful plantation and is much beloved by all of his slaves, which consist of shapeshifters. When he comes across a special shifter, an alpha wolf, he is mesmerized. His body and his feelings betray all logic and societal norms as he finds himself drawn to the beautiful creature. Jacob, who witnessed his entire family murdered before his eyes, has been consistently mistreated and abused since he was ripped from his life in the woods. He is leery of the young vampire who takes him in, but is surprised by Edward's kindness and generocity. Jacob is also surprised by his growing feelings and protectiveness towards the vampire. Will Edward and Jacob finally give in to their feelings or will they continue to butt heads in an effort to exert dominance over one another?

This story is truly captivating. Ratts' writing is beautiful as she thrusts readers into this interesting world of class, status and wealth. Edward comes off as arrogant, conceited and at times bratty, but he also has a good heart, as evidenced by the treatment of his slaves. Emmett, Paul and Seth are absolutely adorable characters! The little vampling and puppies always manage to steal the show with their sweet dispositions and childlike innocence.

The Chains That Bind Us by Hank's Lady

The Chains That Bind Us by Hank's Lady

Actor, Edward Cullen, figured he had a pretty good life. He's had a profitable career as a child actor and transitioned into adulthood by taking on more serious roles. However, he feels stilted because he's pressured to take roles that his father, director Carlisle Cullen, chooses for him. On top of the stress of his career, he's just learned that his girlfriend, Bella, has cheated on him with her co-star. Wanting to get away from it all, Edward turns to the one person who could possibly pull him out of his depression, Jacob Black, his former hero, mentor and crush.

Here's another great story from Hank's Lady, except this one takes a page out of real life. It's still in its early stages, but I'm already invested in these characters and their happiness...and Bella's demise professionally and socially. lol I also love the fact that Jacob is older, wiser and more experienced. Edward looks up to him, which makes this story even more intriguing. You won't be disappointed with this one! Check it out!

Eternally United (United Trilogy #3) by Hank's Lady

In this final piece of the United Trilogy, Jacob and Edward are blissfully happy and enjoying married life when a horrific event changes both of their lives forever. Will this tear them apart for good or will their second chance at love overcome their new obstacles?

After Reunited ended, I was ecstatic to learn that there would be more to Edward and Jacob's story. However, after reading the summary, I was very apprehensive. Angst was on the way and the boys had already been through so much, but I'm sure that the events that take place in this story will bring them closer together. It's still in its early stages, so I can't wait to see what happens! Definitely check this story out, especially if you've read United We Fall and Reunited.*

Eternally United is not a stand alone story and should be read only after reading United We Fall and Reunited first.

Reunited (United Trilogy #2) by Hank's Lady

Reunited (United Trilogy #2) by Hank's Lady - COMPLETE

Nearly 100 years after the sad events of United We Fall, a reincarnated Edward and Jacob meet when they are assigned as roommates their first year of college. Both young men sense something oddly familiar about the other, but are too shy to say anything out of fear of freaking each other out. Slowly, but surely, the two opposites form a great friendship. As their friendship strengthens, so do their memories of the past. Will Edward and Jacob be able to rekindle the loving relationship that was so tragically stolen from them a century earlier or will they allow fear and confusion to get in the way?

After my heart was broken at the end of United We Fall, I was so happy to read this sequel! The slow progression of Edward and Jacob's relationship was delightfully sweet and heartwarming. They both supported each other through tough times and were able to build upon the feelings and relationship they shared in the past. If you liked United We Fall, you definitely need to read this sequel!*

Reunited is not a stand alone story. In order to fully understand what's going on, it's highly recommended that you read United We Fall first.

Betrayal by Hank's Lady

Betrayal by Hank's Lady

Tyler's life is chaos. He just caught his best friend, and roommate, in bed with his girlfriend, his father pays no attention to him and treats him like a burden, and he has anger problems, which almost always leads to a fight. When classmate, Jacob Black, takes pity on him and lends a helping hand, Tyler realizes there actually are good people out there and that he may not be the screw up everyone believes him to be.

I have been pleasantly surprised by this crossover Remember Me/Twilight fic! Using Tyler instead of Edward is nice twist, but what really caught my attention was the way Hank's Lady realistically portrays the struggles of the main characters. Seeing the slow and tentative progression of friendship between Tyler and Jake is refreshing and I look forward to learning more about these characters. I always get a jolt of excitement when I see an update for this story in my inbox and I know you will too!

The Night Before Christmas by starry-nights88

The Night Before Christmas by starry-nights88 - COMPLETE

On the night before Christmas, Edward and Jacob watch their twins each open a special Christmas Eve gift. The excitement and joy on their kids' faces make everything worthwhile. Little does Jacob know that Edward has a very special gift of his own for his life partner.

This is the type of story that I absolutely love to read at this time of year. It's sweet, fluffy and guaranteed to make me feel warm and fuzzy. There is no angst or drama, just cute kids and two men in love. Check it out!

United We Fall (United Trilogy #1) by Hank's Lady

United We Fall (United Trilogy #1) by Hank's Lady - COMPLETE

When Jacob suddenly imprints on Edward, not only his enemy because he is a vampire, but also for the fact that he stole the girl he loved, all hell breaks loose in his life. He keeps the imprint a secret from just about everyone, but especially Edward. They form a strained acquaintanceship after a painful tragedy, but soon Jacob can no longer deny his feelings for the vampire. Will they find their happily ever after or be doomed to pain and heartache?

I'm already a fan of Hank Lady's stories. Healing a Damaged Soul is a current favorite of mine, so I was excited when I discovered this new one. Once again Hank's Lady creates characters that have a realness to them, making me view them more as two individuals rather than mythological creatures (a vampire and shape shifter) living in a fantasy world. The emotions Edward and Jacob experience come across as very effectively and I find myself waiting with bated breath for each new chapter. We're still pretty early in the story, so I'm sure Hanks Lady has a lot in store for these two characters. I can't wait!

Whispering Heart by Ratts

Whispering Heart by Ratts - COMPLETE

Jacob is a spoiled, narcissistic, selfish prince. He only does things for his own enjoyment and gain and doesn't care who he steps on in the process. When he buys a vampire at slave auction, something inside of him almost instantly shifts. Kind-hearted and quiet, Edward resigns to his fate as a slave to the Alpha prince. However, over time the two men develop an uneasy friendship and camaraderie that slowly evolves into something much more.

I was captivated by this story when I read it. Jacob is such an unlikable character. He's mean, impatient and an all around jerk. However, Edward slowly chips away at his facade and teaches Jacob some lessons that not only make him a better wolf, but a better Alpha to his subjects.

Definitely check out this story! I know you'll really enjoy it! Oh, and also pay attention to the delightful character, Ryan. He will capture your heart immediately.

Healing a Damaged Soul by Hank's Lady

Healing a Damaged Soul by Hank's Lady

When Bella breaks his heart, Jacob doesn't know what to do. His heartbreak is compounded when he discovers Bella left him for rich kid, Edward Cullen. Jake wants to make his life hell because he believes Edward is cause for the demise of his relationship.

Along the way, Jake discovers that his relationship with Bella wasn't all it was cracked up to be. She's selfish, manipulative and just an all-around bad person. Knowing he's better off, he lets Bella go once and for all and discovers he has 'other' tastes when it comes to romance. When Bella dumps Edward in a very public and humiliating way, Jake turns out to be Edward's unlikely hero.

Healing a Damaged Soul is an emotional ride that will make you want to reach through the computer and comfort both Jake and Edward. My heart broke for both of them, but I have a feeling there are some good times ahead for this pair. *wink wink*
