Book Review: Up in the Air: Johannesburg by George Loveland

Looking for love is the last thing air steward, James Foster, is thinking about when he swaps flights to save his hung-over best friend’s job. He doesn’t know that fate has other ideas and he would fall for the tall, bearded passenger, Darren Busby, sat in 14D. Up in the air, James finds that the connection he has with Darren is too strong to ignore.

After missing the opportunity to ask for Darren’s number, James' jaw hits the floor when Darren walks into the same hotel he is staying at. Butterflies and nerves take over, but soon give way to excitement as they get to know each other on the ground.

When James' ex, Richard, shows up and begs for forgiveness, James has to decide if going back to the man who broke his heart would be worth it, or if he should finally move on and take a chance on Darren.

This is a pretty quick read, but very sweet and enjoyable. The main characters are both likeable people, and I appreciated the fact that James' friends played integral parts of the story, but didn't take a up a lot of time. The focus was on James and Darren. All in all, I think this would be a great book for a lazy summer afternoon sitting by the pool. I look forward to reading Max's story. His character intrigued me.

So He Told You About That? by benedrah

Alec is ready to take the next step in his relationship with Magnus. Unfortunately, not all of the passion in the world can prevent a few....mishaps.

I'm relatively new to the Malec fandom, even though I remember when The Mortal Instruments movie came out and was completely enchanted by Godfrey Gao, who played Magnus Bane. So far I've been very pleasantly surprised by what I've seen of the tv show (I originally wrote it off thinking it was just another teenybopper show, but Harry Shum Jr. and Matthew Daddario are really great in their roles) and happily fell down the rabbit hole of Malec love!

This story is adorable! I'm sure everyone was holding their breath when Magnus and Alec first had sex on the show and this one shot gives readers insight into what exactly happened after Alec pushed Magnus into the bedroom (and that shameful fade to black). You will swoon, laugh and everything in between while reading this story. Highly recommended!

Wow! This story will really tug at your heartstrings! It's still in its beginning stages, but I was completely pulled into the storyline and look forward to reading more. I especially can't wait for the appearance of Nasir. Check it out, but make sure you have a Kleenex or two nearby just in case.
