I was really intrigued by the first half of this short story. I liked seeing how Wyatt's melancholy was affecting not only his life, but his lucrative career. The rapport between Wyatt and Bryce was really great to see as well, until things took a turn. That's when the book started to read like angsty fanfiction and I wondered what happened. The reasoning behind Wyatt's actions were silly and I couldn't believe this grown man actually thought it was okay to do what he did. If I were Bryce's friend, I would have told him to run far, far away and never look back.
While the overall premise was interesting, this book just didn't work for me.
