Love, Again by LosT-in-Twific

Love, Again by LosT-in-Twific

Jasper and Edward have always been flirtatious with each other, but Edward isn't into relationships and Jasper has had a steady boyfriend, Riley, for five years. They can't, however, deny their incredible chemistry. When an opportunity finally arises for them to give in to their desires, they unlock feelings that not only shock, but excite them.

This short story is quite cute. The banter between Edward and Jasper is fun to watch and I found myself on pins and needles wondering if they were going to admit how good they are together. Definitely give this sweet story a shot!

Box Full of Sharp Objects by alexinwonderlandd

Box Full of Sharp Objects by alexinwonderlandd

Jasper has been to hell and back. He's suffered things no one should ever experience, but he's made it to the other side and now has a pretty good life living with his older brother, Emmett, in Forks and hanging out with his best friend, Edward. Ever since Jasper moved to town, he and Edward have been the closest of friends and attached at the hip. Whenever Jasper's past demons return to haunt him, Edward's always there selflessly giving his support and love. What happens when Jasper's feelings towards his best friend start to change? Will he push him away or accept him with open arms and an open heart?

Occasionally I come across a story like this one that completely draws me in to the storyline and characters. I read each chapter in almost one sitting because I was anxious to see what happens next. Now that I've reached the end of the written chapters so far, I find myself even more anxious to see how this story unfolds.

The friendship between Jasper and Edward is quite beautiful, and even though Jasper thinks he's unworthy of such a friendship because of his past, Edward is always there trying to make him laugh and showing his support. I will warn readers that this story contains some pretty serious and tragic topics that might make some a little uncomfortable, but they're handled in a responsible and appropriate way. I highly recommend this beautiful story and can't wait to see what's in store for the boys!

Riptide by samekraemer

Riptide by samekraemer

It's Jasper's first year in college and things haven't started off on a good note. His roommate is an alcoholic slob, he's unfamiliar with his surroundings and his crush, and former swim coach from high school, has just waltzed back into his life looking better than ever. Will Jasper be able to make it through his first year of college without losing his mind?

This story is extremely sweet. It has its heavy/angsty moments as Jasper tries to figure out how to deal with homophobia, classes, a new social life and the ever-present Edward Cullen, who seems to find himself constantly by Jasper's side. Side characters, Emmett and Jacob are a hoot to watch, and I'm looking forward to seeing how this story evolves.

Update 5/23/15: Wow. This story took a hard turn. It is no longer sweet nor cute. The characters, especially Jasper, have become frustrating and borderline infuriating. The author repeatedly tells readers that it will be get worse before it gets better, but I don't know how more much Jasper, Edward and their friends can take. Every single character, both primary and secondary, are living under a cloud of misery and pain and I just don't understand this kind of plot development, but I guess we'll all just have to wait and see.

A Beastly Tale by DreamingPoet1988

A Beastly Tale by DreamingPoet1988

Anthony Edward Masen has it all. He's popular in school, is the son of a wealthy businessman and can manipulate just about anyone with his killer good looks. He and his friends take it upon themselves to ridicule and bully anyone who doesn't meet their standards of wealth and beauty. Jasper is particularly plagued by Anthony and his cronies. All he wants to do it get through each day with little to no pain. One day Anthony's behavior catches up with him when a witch curses him, making his outward appearance just as ugly as his insides. Will he learn his lesson before it's too late, and will be Jasper, even after all the pain he's been caused, be the one to help him?

This is the classic Beauty and the Beast story with a Twilight twist. Anthony (later referred to as Edward) is absolutely reprehensible when we first meet him. He finds enjoyment in others' misery, especially Jasper's and anyone who doesn't fit his warped perception of perfection. I couldn't help but cheer a little when Edward is cursed, but seeing his transformation, both physically and emotionally, over time was quite touching. Jasper, on the other hand, must not only deal with the jerks at school, but also an alcoholic father and a "disease" he must kept hidden each night.

I was amazed how DreamingPoet1988 managed to make me sympathize with such a hateful character like Edward, almost to the point where I had a lump in my throat a few times due to the emotionally-charged scenes. This is one of those stories that will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride, but it's oh so entertaining and worth it!

Heart of Glass by Jenasys Loveless Lovecraft

Heart of Glass by Jenasys Loveless Lovecraft

Jasper lives a pretty mundane life. It's not bad, but he misses the companionship, love and passion that comes with a boyfriend. On his birthday, Jasper jokingly wishing for it to rain men. Much to his surprise, his wish granted because a man literally falls from the sky just for him. Jasper is frightened and confused at first, but soon discovers that the innocent and endearing angel, Edward, just wants to make him happy. As Jasper and Edward's relationship grows, obstacles continue to stand in their way. Will they be able to build a happy life together or will Jasper only have his memories of an adorably sweet angel to carry with him for the rest of his days?

This story is so unbelievably cute! Edward's wide-eyed, childlike wonder and awe at the smallest things will bring a huge smile to your face. He tries his absolute hardest to ensure Jasper's happiness, and will probably make you wish you had your own angel just like him. If you want a quick read that is full to the brim with humor and fluff (with just a little angst mixed in), Heart of Glass is perfect for you!

The Thing About Falling by mistyhaze420

The Thing About Falling by mistyhaze420

When Brady encounters the gruff, tough and dangerous, Brandon, the cousin of his close friend Jasper, he's knocked off his feet. Never has been so enthralled by another man in his life. Brandon is drawn to the optimistic and fabulous Brady, but tries to keep him at arm's length because nothing good from them being friends. He has a record and doesn't want to taint Brady and his future. However, the feelings each man holds for the other cannot be denied. They're falling hard and fast...

This is easily one of my favorite fanfics ever. mistyhaze420 blew me away Lessons Learned, and this follow up lives up to that story and more. Every time this fic updates (and they're always long chapters), I pretty much drop everything to see what our boys, Brady and Brandon, are up to. If you haven't already, please give this story a try. You will not be disappointed!

This Boy by naelany

This Boy by naelany

Edward's life since his break up with Jasper has been a shambles. When he sees the man who still holds his heart at a club one evening, part of him wants to run to Jasper and hold him forever, but the other part is paralyzed with pain because Jasper is in the arms of another.

I read this story a long time ago and discovered it again while perusing my favorites folder. naelany, who always brings realistic and raw emotion to her writing, did an incredible job portraying the uncertainty and love between the MCs. If you're a fan of naelany's writing, especially the epic story Marked, you won't want to miss out on this one!

Communal Living by PolkaDotMama

Communal Living by PolkaDotMama

Living in a sexually and judgment-free commune is the best life for Jasper. He helps the planet by living self-sustained and off the grid, but he also has the opportunity to explore his sexuality without the threat of pain, violence or fear. When new resident, Edward, moves in, Jasper is determined to have him. However, Edward's sexual repression and skittishness confuses, yet intrigues him. Will he be able to break down Edward's walls?

This story is so interesting. It not only has steamy hot scenes, but there is a lot of emotion as well. I know you'll enjoy seeing Edward come into his own and accept that his sexuality isn't something to be hidden away. Peripheral characters, Emmett and Carlisle, also play a pretty important role in Edward's growth. This is a great story that you should definitely check out!

My Friend by lindachiqa

My Friend by lindachiqa

Edward and Jasper meet one day in the sandbox. Even though Edward is very particular about who he plays with, he seems to make a connection with the little blond boy who is full of energy. As the two boys grow, their bond strengthens into something truly wonderful.

This story is so cute! It's in its early stages right now, so we're only getting glimpses of Edward and Jasper as children. However, from the summary it seems that readers will be there each step of the way as Edward and Jasper grow up and closer to one another. I can't wait to see what happens!

Melt My Heart by Soulmate Ficwriter

Melt My Heart by Soulmate Ficwriter

As a competitive ice skater, Edward owns the ice. His technical skill and ability leaves spectators in awe, but it's fellow skater, Jasper Whitlock, who has completely captured his attention..and heart.

The latest story from Soulmate Ficwriter looks to definitely be starting out on the right foot. So far we've been introduced to the MCs, Edward is adorkable and shy and Jasper is confident and smooth, and I can't wait to see how their relationship develops and flourishes! Check it out!

Altered Story by The Broken Chain

Altered Story by The Broken Chain

When Alice informs Jasper that the two of them will be joining a coven of vampires pretending to human and who only feed from animals, he is hesitant to say the least. Jasper's existence as a vampire has been wrought with battle, death and pain; so acceptance, contentment and familial love is something Jasper finds uncomfortable at first. However, one vampire in the coven, Edward, has stirred feelings in Jasper that he's never experienced, but at the same time welcomes. This may not be the existence Jasper envisioned for himself, but it may be the best thing that could have happened to him.

We all know the canon version of how Jasper and Alice came to live with the Cullens. This story takes that exposition and twists it slightly, giving readers better understanding of Jasper's struggle to fit in to his new lifestyle, and more insight into the thoughts and feelings of his adopted parents and siblings. It's amazing how interesting the individual members of the Cullen family are when Bella's drivel is omitted. lol I really liked this different look at Jasper's integration into the family and how he slowly developed a close and strong bond with the dark and brooding Edward. Definitely give this one-shot a try. It's a story that will capture your attention from the very first paragraph.

The Christmas Wish by Soulmate Ficwriter

The Christmas Wish by Soulmate Ficwriter

As a child Edward was fascinated by a little boy who stood ahead of him in line while waiting to meet Santa. Even though he no longer believed in the jolly man, he couldn't help but be pulled into the happiness and excitement the blond boy emanated. When he overheard Jasper's Christmas wish, Edward couldn't believe his ears. Jasper was pure innocence and joy and Edward didn't want to lose the feeling. Over the years, Edward and Jasper consistently crossed paths, but never had the opportunity to have a real conversation. Will fate bring them together once again?

Even though it's the end of January, this sweet Christmas-themed story warms the heart like a soothing mug of hot chocolate. This two-parter was written for this last year's Toys 4 Tots Christmas Wishes compilation and I can't wait to see how the story concludes!

Never Judge by the Looks by addicted-to-romione-bedward

Never Judge by the Looks by addicted-to-romione-bedward

Known as a player, party boy and consistent screw up, Edward barely knows what's going on when he arrives at his best friend's wedding reception after a long night of drinking. He was supposed to be the best man at the wedding, but his hangover prevented him from attending the ceremony. While there, a beautiful woman in a gorgeous dress catches his attention. However, upon seeing the lady close up, he discovers she is actually the bride's brother, Jasper.

Jasper has never fit in due to his love of wearing women's clothes. He's all man, but he loves the feel of the soft fabrics against his skin. Jasper is torn because of the connection he feels toward Edward, but he also has a boyfriend waiting for him at home and he cannot ignore Edward's tarnished reputation.

I was pleasantly surprised by this story. I haven't read many pieces in which one of the characters is a cross dresser, but addicted-to-rominone-bedward was able to write Jasper in a way that you fully understand that the cross dressing is just one aspect of his personality and does not define him. It was interesting to see Edward not only come to terms with his feelings for Jasper, but also his own sexuality and what he really wants out of life. Check it out!

A Birthday Carol by zeewriter

A Birthday Carol by zeewriter

After the death of his wife, Bella, and best friend, Alice, within years of each other, Edward has hidden himself away from the world. He's become a grumpy man who can't be bothered with anyone or anything. In the midst of his grief, he inadvertently abandoned his good friend, Jasper, as he dealt with Alice's death and becoming a single father.

One night, Edward is informed that he will be visited by three ghosts throughout the night who will try to convince him to live his life and explore the feelings he's had for Jasper all these years. He finds it hard to believe that ghosts will visit him and that he has feelings for his good, male friend. Will Edward be convinced to follow his heart or will he live the remainder of his years as a Scrooge.

A Christmas Carol is a holiday classic everyone is familiar with and perfect for this time of year. zeewriter's Twilight and slash twists not only breathe new life into the well-known story, but also adds a little fun and excitement. This is great holiday short story that will bring a smile to your face and warm your heart!

Dig by LyricalKris

Dig by LyricalKris

Edward and Jasper have been best friends forever. However, when Edward experiences an extremely traumatic event, he immediately withdraws and becomes self-loathing and apathetic to the world around him. Ever the supportive friend, Jasper ensures Edward is taken care of and that he doesn't feel alone, no matter how much he tries to push his friend away. Dealing with something as horrible as rape has scarred Edward mentally and emotionally, but he knows Jasper will always be there for him, even if he doesn't deserve it.

If you love angst, this is definitely the story for you. The subject matter is very heavy, but there is a poignancy that will tug at your heartstrings, make you want to hug Jasper and Edward and keep them safe from all the pain and ugliness of the world. Not only does Jasper have to watch his friend become a shell of the person he once was, he also must come to terms with his strengthening romantic feelings for Edward, and the fact that he's still in the closet.

Give this heart wrenching story a try!

You Can't Change the Past by cbaty

You Can't Change the Past by cbaty

After his car breaks down and he manages to get it to a mechanic, Edward is quite taken aback when the mechanic spews venom his way and treats him like he belongs on the bottom of his shoe. Even though the angry mechanic is incredible to look at, his looks don't excuse his behavior. Edward tries to complain to the manager, but soon discovers that his complaints will fall upon deaf ears.

Frustrated, aggravated and hurt, Jasper lashes out at Edward, who obviously has no recollection of their night together 10 years ago. They were young and different people then, but there was something between them.. No matter how much he enjoyed that night so long ago, he wants to ensure Edward feels the same pain he still feels to this day.

I'm incredibly happy that cbaty is back and writing new fanfiction! This story looks like it's going to be quite interesting and I can't wait to see what happens next! Check it out!

Wish Upon a Star by Hank's Lady

Wish Upon a Star by Hank's Lady

Edward is painfully shy and often keeps to himself, existing behind the closed door of his bedroom. He wishes that things could be different, but more importantly he wishes that he could find a guy to truly love him. Unfortunately, Edward doesn't really have many friends, and this worries his parents greatly. In an effort to try to bring Edward out of his shell, Carlisle and Esme decide a family vacation to a ranch in Texas would help. At first Edward isn't too keen on the idea, but he eventually relents. Just when he thinks the next three weeks of his life are going to be filled with awkwardness and embarrassment, Jasper Whitlock, whose family owns the ranch, strolls into his life. Will Jasper finally bring Edward out of his shell and possibly be his wish come true?

As always, Hank's Lady blesses us with a great storyline and wonderful characters. Usually writing Edward/Jacob pairings, Hank's Lady branched out and decided to try Edward/Jasper, and I think she's doing a pretty good job so far. Much like her other stories, I find myself eagerly anticipating the next chapter, and I can't wait to see how Edward changes over his three-week stay on the ranch. Give this cute story a try. You won't be disappointed!

Sober by vampireisthenewblack

Sober by vampireisthenewblack

Edward's life is a mess of drinking, hangovers, degrading women and treating those who love him badly. His downward spiral is hurting those around him, especially his best friend, Jasper. Will Jasper be able to convince Edward to turn his life around or will he have to cut ties with one of the most important people in life?

Emotional, angsty and well-written, Sober is one of those stories that you have to read in one sitting. I was drawn into the characters' lives and wondered if Edward would realize his serious problem with alcohol. Jasper is awesome as Edward's best friend who tries everything in his power to show him love, support and a little tough love.

Hostage: Chicago Take-down by maryhell

Hostage: Chicago Take-down by maryhell

Edward and Jasper have just returned from their honeymoon and find themselves in yet another scary situation. Edward's biological father, Marcus, wants him to work in the (criminal) family business because it's his birthright. Edward, obviously, wants nothing to do with him, but the Charlie and The Pack feel this is a great opportunity take down Marcus' crime organization once and for all. Jasper doesn't want to see his husband, who has already been kidnapped, tortured and put through enough hell for one lifetime, to go undercover and be placed in potentially even more danger. Edward must make a decision that could alter his life forever.

I was so excited when I saw this update in my inbox! I'm a fan of the Hostage series, so I'm looking forward to this final part of the trilogy. maryhell brings these characters to life so vividly that you can't help but get sucked in to all of the twists and turns and drama. I'm sure there is a lot of angst, tension and suspense on the horizon for our boys, and I can't wait to see what happens. If you haven't already read the first two stories in the series, Hostage and Hostage: The Honeymoon,  be sure to read them first.

New York, I Love You by PJ XD

New York, I Love You by PJ XD

Edward thinks life as he knows it is over when his family moves from the hustle and bustle of New York City to a small town in Texas. He stands out due to his accent alone, but throw in his tattoos, tongue piercing and the fact that he gay, and he's virtually an alien from another world. However, meeting the star high school quarterback may change his mind about living in a no-name town. Jasper is immediately fascinated by Edward. He's crazy intelligent and witty, well-traveled and lived in the best city in the world. The two opposites become fast friends, but underlying romantic feelings could threaten to tear them apart.

New York, I Love You is one of those stories that you can't help but love. PJ XD fleshes out the characters so well that I felt like they were my friends and I couldn't wait to learn more about them and their lives. Readers are given the opportunity to see the relationship between Jasper and Edward really blossom. There is no insta-love, but a true bond that I found lovely.

This is a story that you don't want to miss out on! Also be sure to check out NYILY's companion story, Deep in the Heart of Texas, which is the story told from Edward's point of view. It's just as well-written and wonderful.
